Dear Patient,
The costs of examinations and consultations as well as laboratory tests during pregnancy are only covered by state health insurance companies when there is a medical indication for them. When there is no indication, your doctor is not able to provide a referral (Überweisung). However the possibility exists of performing treatment as a non-contractual service. We then issue a private invoice according to the scale of charges and fees for doctors (Gebührenordnung für Ärzte, GOÄ). The fees for the cost common investigations are given in the following summary.
